BSB: Seahawks hammer HHCA in crosstown clash (+ 📷 GALLERY)

Hilton Head High made quick work of crosstown rival Hilton Head Christian Academy on Monday, beating the Eagles 17-2 in three innings in the Seahawks’ preseason tournament. 

Matt Mebane was 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs to lead the Seahawks, while Cole DeMarzo was 2-for-2 with a triple, and RBI, and two runs, and Tate Miller and Ethan Hussong each added two hits, two runs, and two RBIs. 

Jack Mastrorocco earned the win for HHIHS, allowing two runs and three hits over three innings with three strikeouts and one walk. Jacob Eddy took the loss for the Eagles.

UP NEXT

HHIHS (2-0) plays at home against Battery Creek at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. 

HHCA (0-2) plays Battery Creek at 5 p.m. Thursday at HHIHS.
