May River rolled to its second straight shutout win Friday, crushing host Lake Marion 54-0 to open Region 8-3A play.
Ahmad Green ran for one touchdown and threw three TD passes — one each to Melvin Livermon, Elijah Peter, and Andrew Mersberger — to lead the Sharks’ offense. Donovan Ling and Cam Scott each added a rushing touchdown, and Steffin Gadson scored a defensive touchdown.
May River’s Bryce Summers booted a pair of field goals, one from 35 yards and another from a school-record 44 yards.
The Sharks (5-0, 1-0) host Ridgeland-Hardeeville next Friday.
