Hilton Head High’s girls opened their Class 4A state title defense with a 6-1 win over Aiken on Monday.
Mia Poplin scored a hat trick for the Seahawks, while Hannah Stanhope added two goals and Val Palacio scored one.
The Seahawks travel to top-seeded Myrtle Beach for a second-round matchup Wednesday.
