H2A Kicks Off 2017-18 USA Swimming Season

Hilton Head Aquatics began its 2017-18 USA Swimming season with a home meet over the weekend, hosting three other clubs for the Season Kick-Off Meet at Island Rec Center.

Two H2A swimmers claimed victories in seven events — Skylar Bruner (500 free, 50 fly, 100 back, 200 free, 100 fly, 50 back, 100 free) and Peter Fenstermaker (500 free, 25 breast, 50 back, 100 free, 50 fly, 50 breast, 50 free).

Another three H2A swimmers won six events — Tommy Hughson won six events (400 IM, 200 back, 200 free, 200 IM, 100 back, 500 free); Meaghan Lyons (400 IM, 100 breast, 200 back, 200 IM, 100 back, 200 breast); and Kevin Geist (1000 free, 100 fly, 200 free, 200 fly, 200 breast, 500 free).

Chloe Corbitt (1000 free, 100 fly, 200 free, 200 fly, 500 free) was a five-event winner, and four swimmers claimed four events — Samantha Fenstermaker (25 fly, 50 back, 100 free, 50 fly); Isabella Pozos (100 fly, 100 breast, 200 breast, 50 free); Cohen Bruner (200 back, 200 IM, 100 back, 50 free); and Sterling Burd (200 free, 200 IM, 200 fly, 500 free).

Other winners were Niklas Kronlein (100 fly, 100 breast, 200 fly), Katie Lyons (400IM, 200 back), Levi Eidson (50 breast, 100 breast), Aubrey Porada (100 IM, 50 free), Emma Magnin (25 back, 25 free), Pierce Daly (400IM), Ceci Williams (25 breast), Luke Aragon (50 breast), Noah Corbitt (100 breast), Blaise Minckler (100 IM), Guy Annunziata (200 breast), Caleb Eidson (50 free), Camila Pelt (100 free) and Tom Gadron (100 free).
