ALL-AMERICAN FOOTBALL CAMP

What: Campers will receive position specific training and be put through drills by camp workers including the nation’s best college and NFL players and coaches. This year’s instructors will include Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne, Justyn Ross, and Nyles Pinckney, Georgia’s Richard LeCounte, and the Miami Dolphins’ Raekwon McMillan, among others.

WEEK OF CHAMPIONS

What: Free Christian sports camp led by dozens of volunteers, including many professional athletes and collegiate coaches. Sports include football, soccer, cheerleading, baseball, softball, basketball, tennis, and golf.

GPS COASTAL ACADEMY SUMMER INDOOR FUTSAL

What: Futsal, popular in Brazil, Spain in Portugal, is excellent for developing technical precision and promotes creativity in 1v1 situations. Its fast-paced nature and quick restarts ensure the ball is in play more than typical indoor leagues with studies showing players receive the ball 6x more than in an outdoor game.
When: June 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26 (5:30-6:45 p.m., 2012-08; 6:45-8 p.m., 2007-01)

SUMMER STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

What: Whether you are a professional athlete or aspiring young player you can use the same cutting edge methodology to achieve your performance goals. We have trained NBA All-Stars, NCAA All-Americans, and former top-ranked players, as well as consulted in China, India, Japan, and Europe. Sessions are led by Coach DeMaria CSCS, ACSM, who is the current Director of Sports Performance at Smith Stearns Tennis Academy and a USA Men’s National Team Coach. Sessions will focus on the development of speed, agility, quickness, strength, flexibility, explosiveness, and power.

When: June 3-July 26 (six weekly sessions), 8-10 a.m.

GPS COASTAL ACADEMY TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE TRAINING CAMP

What: The Technical Performance Training (TPT) Camp provides specific training that incorporates speed, agility, and quickness while focusing on the player’s individual technical ability. The TPT Camp will follow a vigorous curriculum that maximizes ball manipulation in a high energetic environment.
When: June 10-13, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

JUNIOR DOLPHIN FOOTBALL CAMP

What: Junior Dolphin Football Camp will introduce and develop game fundamentals including throwing, catching, kicking, blocking, tackling and agility, as well as an introduction to strength and conditioning. Campers will play flag football games and have daily competitions. Camp will be a fun and engaging opportunity to learn the fundamentals of football, but also the mental strategy, proper attitude and emotional aspects of the game.

GPS COASTAL ACADEMY INNOVATIVE PLAYER/INDOOR FUTSAL CAMP

What: The GPS Innovative Player Camp is an extensive player development program designed by the GPS Technical Department to create players who can dominate in the four different 1v1 situations (face to face, side to side, attacking diagonally and back to opposition). Through our progressive curriculum, each session sees players learn skills in low pressure environments before our series of 1v1 exercises provide them game related scenarios in which they can apply and execute what they have learned.

TORMENTA FC YOUTH SOCCER CAMP HILTON HEAD What: Half-day or full-day soccer camp that offers a fun week of games and skill work for all ages. Full day camp includes futsal and indoor sessions in the afternoon. Coaches for our camps are all professional staff with the experience to coach all ages and to create a positive learning environment.

GPS COASTAL ACADEMY GOALKEEPER VS. STRIKER CAMP

What: The Goalkeeper vs. Striker Camp will focus on the roles of both goalkeepers and strikers. The camp caters to all goalkeepers and field players from beginner to advanced. The goalkeepers will go through four days of detailed curriculum, including shot-stopping, basic handling, angle play, crosses/dealing with high balls, and distribution. Strikers will learn the correct techniques of effectively striking the ball whether it be from long or short distances. Each player will be given the platform to perfect their striking ability as they will learn how to finish with different surfaces of their feet and use a variety of techniques to find the back of the net.
When: June 24-27, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

GPS COASTAL ACADEMY TOTAL PLAYER DEVELOPMENT & INDOOR FUTSAL CAMP

What: The Total Player Development Camp is designed with a holistic approach to teach the players about every positional aspect of the game, from goalkeeper through to the striker. The aim of the camp is to provide players with an overview of what is required from each position. By the end of the camp, each player should have a complete understanding of the different roles and responsibilities of each position. This is a challenging camp for players but one we feel will have a beneficial impact on their development, vision, and understanding of the game.

BASKETBALL CAMP

What: Coach Bob Sulek has coached at three colleges and several high schools, including HHP where his teams won seven state championships in 13 years. Coach John Sterling played for Dr. Sulek at his New Jersey high school, was the captain of his high school and college teams, and has over 600 wins as a high school coach. Camp emphasis is on doing things properly, intensity, and hard work and best effort all the time.
