Hilton Head Prep boys basketball avenged last year’s playoff loss in a big way Friday, routing visiting Northwood Academy 75-43 for the Dolphins’ third-straight win.
The Chargers are not the same team they were a year ago, and the Dolphins have brought in reinforcements who turned this one into a blowout early.
JJ Hayes put up a monster line for the Dolphins with 23 points on 11-of-16 shooting with eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Sean Cusano added 15 points and 11 boards, and Ben Frey contributed seven points and five assists.
HHP’s Kane Eanes scored seven quick points before leaving with an ankle sprain in the first half, but he will have more than two weeks to recover before the Dolphins take the court again.
HHP (7-2) hosts Bethesda Academy on Jan. 4.
