Bluffton girls basketball opened its season with a convincing 50-25 home win over Wade Hampton on Tuesday.
Madi Washington had a big game for the Bobcats, leading the charge with a game-high 14 points, while Katie Rodney added 10, and Tacoya Heyward, Trinity Fields, and Jaalina Mosley each contributed seven.
The Bobcats clamped down on defense early, racing out to a 12-6 lead after one quarter and extending the margin to 26-9 at halftime before cruising to an easy win.
Bluffton (1-0) travels to Effingham County on Saturday.
