FIRST LOOK: HHCA stymies Stallions to cap 2nd straight perfect season

Hilton Head Christian Academy’s Junkyard Dogs are top dogs again.

Senior Speedy Robinson ran for three touchdowns while Jace Blackshear threw for two, and the defense delivered a dominant performance to dismantle Williamsburg Academy 34-7 and capture back-to-back SCISA 2A state championships.

Robinson put the Eagles on the board early in the second quarter with a 4-yard burst, and found paydirt again from eight yards out right before halftime to take a 12-0 lead. The senior completed the hat-trick with a powerful 14-yard run in the third quarter, and Matthew Scarpa’s fumble recovery set up a 21-yard Jace Blackshear touchdown pass to Jackson “Bulldog” Lanier.

Williamsburg broke the shutout after a muffed punt, but Blackshear finished his HHCA career with a dime to Isaiah Anderson, sealing the 34-7 state championship victory.

Blackshear threw for 214 yards and two touchdowns while adding 60 yards on the ground. Robinson scored three times with 48 rushing and receiving yards, Lanier caught four passes for 81 yards with a score, and Anderson added a 21-yard touchdown catch.

Hilton Head Christian Academy finishes its second straight unbeaten season with a record of 13-0.
