Hilton Head Prep girls tennis remained undefeated Thursday, but not without a strong challenge from host John Paul II, which pushed the powerhouse Dolphins in a 6-3 decision.
The Golden Warriors picked up big wins from No. 1 Trice McClure and No. 2 Bela Cresp, who also teamed up to win at No. 1 doubles, but the Dolphins swept the remaining four singles courts and picked up two doubles wins to secure the victory.
HHP (10-0, 6-0) hosts Hilton Head High in a cross-island clash Monday, while JPII hosts Beaufort Academy on Tuesday.
