Hilton Head Island started its 2021 Dixie Youth Baseball Ozone state tournament campaign in dominant fashion Saturday, crushing Conway 11-0 in Moncks Corner.
Phoenix Shapiro and Alan Wolf were terrific on the mound, combining for a four-inning, two-hit shutout. The Lowcountry squad showed its offensive prowess quickly, scoring nine runs in the second inning and adding two more in the third before Wolf closed out the run-rule victory in the top of the fourth.

Brandon Espinoza led the way at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a double and a pair of RBIs. Nicklaus Feltner was 2-for-3 from the leadoff spot and drove in a pair, while Jackson Reilley finished a flawless 2-for-2 and added two RBIs.
Hilton Head continues its tournament run on Sunday against Goose Creek at 3:30 p.m.
