Bluffton’s girls soccer team went 3-0 over the weekend to capture the championship at the inaugural Summerville Tournament.
The Bobcats edged Oceanside Collegiate 5-4 on Friday and blew out York 8-0 on Saturday before defeating the host Green Wave in penalties in the championship game Sunday.
Katie Shrewsbury and Adeline Rios each scored two goals and Michaelann Gies added a goal in the win over Oceanside. Rios and Shrewsbury each recorded hat tricks, and Gies added two goals in the rout of York.
The Bobcats played the Green Wave to a scoreless draw before winning 4-2 in penalties, as Rios, Gies, Angelina Facenda, and Leyla Dubs each converted their kicks in the shootout.
