Tkai DeVore knocked down two free throws with 2.2 seconds left to cap an incredible night and lift John Paul II’s girls to a 56-54 win over visiting Beaufort Academy on Tuesday.
DeVore racked up 34 points, 17 rebounds, five assists, five blocks, and four steals to lead the Golden Warriors’ second-half rally for a big region win. Abby Quinty had her best game of the season with 16 points and eight rebounds for JPII.
Amelia Huebel scored 21 points, Mike’Ala Washington added 13, and Emily Ann Hiers had 11 for the Eagles.
