Hilton Head and Bluffton American each opened the Dixie Youth Baseball District 8 Minors (9-10) All-Star Tournament with wins Friday at Burton Wells Park in Beaufort.
Bluffton American defeated Bluffton National 5-0 and advances to face host Beaufort at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Hilton Head defeated Colleton County 12-2 and awaits the Bluffton American-Beaufort winner at 4 p.m. Sunday.
Bluffton National will take on Colleton County in an elimination game at noon Saturday.
