HS Baseball: Dolphins Drop Deciding Game To War Hawks

Hilton Head Prep’s outstanding bounce-back season ended with a 9-6 home loss to Colleton Prep on Thursday in the finale of a three-game series in the SCISA 2A playoffs.

The Dolphins couldn’t overcome six errors behind ace Luke Foley, as seven of the nine runs they allowed were unearned.

“Too many miscues today,” HHP coach Chris Wells said. “Can’t do that in playoff baseball and survive.”

HHP also struggled at the plate, managing only four hits. Connor McDonnell had a hit and two RBIs, and Jaiden Hrobar and Foley each had a hit and an RBI.

The Dolphins finish the season with a 15-6 record one year after winning only one game.
