Giovana Rodriguez struck out seven and walked one in a three-inning no-hitter as May River blanked visiting Lake Marion 16-0 in Region 8-3A play Friday.
Rodriguez also had a big night at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple, two runs, and three RBIs. Olivia Turpin was 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBIs, and Peyton Rockwell and Jordan Kovacs each had two hits and two RBIs.
May River (3-1, 2-0) travels to Beaufort High on Monday.
