Bluffton jumped out to a big early lead and held on for an 8-4 win over Ronald Reagan (N.C.) on Tuesday in the Seahawk Invitational.
The Bobcats plated four runs in the first, two in the second, and one in the third to build a 7-0 lead and were in control throughout.
Mason Peeples limited the Raiders to two runs and five hits over 5 1/3 innings with six strikeouts and four walks to earn the win.
Griffin Yeager was 2-for-2 with two walks and two RBIs to lead the offense. Jordan Kennedy and Hunter Eldridge both went 1-for-2 with an RBI and two runs, and Peeples was 1-for-3 with an RBI.
The Bobcats (10-5) face Westwood in their next tournament game at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
