May River girls basketball rolled to a third straight win with another dominant defensive effort Saturday, beating visiting Groves 32-11.
The Sharks were locked in on defense from the tip, holding the Rebels to two points in the opening quarter to open up a 10-2 advantage. It was 16-9 at halftime before May River shut out Groves in the third period to open a 22-9 margin, and the Rebels mustered only two points in the fourth.
Morgan Scott scored 15 points in three quarters of action to lead the Sharks, while Kennedy Palmer and McKenna Swinton added five points each.
May River (3-1) hosts Savannah Country Day on Tuesday.
