Loncelle Daley’s monster season reached the 1,000-yard mark in a four-touchdown performance, and Hilton Head Prep locked down its SCISA 2A playoff berth in style Friday with a 62-6 home thumping of Northwood Academy.
Daley was unstoppable in the backfield, rushing for 186 yards on 13 carries with four touchdowns. The outstanding junior crossed the 1,000-yard mark on his final scoring run late in the first half.
Tristan Bonomo was efficient at quarterback, completing 4-of-5 passes for 57 yards and two touchdowns while adding 30 yards on the ground. Jake Rodney Brown ran for 20 yards, threw a 20-yard touchdown pass, and led the charge on defense with four individual tackles. AJ Barger reeled in three catches for 54 yards and a touchdown, while Trevor Weldon was a perfect 8-for-8 on PATs.
Hilton Head Prep (6-2, 2-1) visits John Paul II on Friday for a rematch of the Dolphins’ season opener.
