BSB: Bobcat rally comes up short vs. Stags

Bluffton’s bats got going too late Monday, as the Bobcats’ rally fell short on the road in a 5-3 loss at Berkeley.

The Bobcats had a tough time solving Stags starter Miller McGuire, who limited Bluffton to two hits over five innings with five strikeouts. Bluffton broke through against Berkeley’s bullpen and had the tying run at the plate before the Stags closed out the win.

Grant Musselman took the tough-luck loss, allowing five runs (three earned) and eight hits over 5 1/3 innings. Timothy Grey and Ayden Nix each drove in a run for the Bobcats.
