Hilton Head Aquatics swimmers Chloe Corbitt and Meaghan Lyons have qualified to compete in the 2018 Speedo Summer Junior Nationals from July 31-Aug. 4 in Irvine, Calif.
The meet features the top level of 18-and-under swimmers in the country.
Corbitt, a senior at Heritage Academy, will swim the 100- and 200-meter butterfly and the 100- and 200-meter freestyle. Lyons, a senior at Hilton Head Island High School, will swim the 100- and 200-meter breaststroke and the 200-meter individual medley.
Corbitt and Lyons have also qualified for the Speedo Winter Nationals held in December, marking the first time in H2A history that two swimmers have qualified in the same year.
This meet features the top level of swimmers in the country, including collegiate swimmers as well as past and present Olympians. Corbitt qualified in the 100- and 200-meter butterfly, and Lyons qualified in the 100- and 200-meter breaststroke.
