Battery Creek’s Alexis Ortiz struck out eight of the nine batters she faced in a three-inning perfect game as the Dolphins beat Bluffton 16-0 on Wednesday.
Journeigh Doray went 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, and three RBIs to lead the Dolphins at the plate. Kelsey Hill and Margaret Schubert added two RBIs apiece.
The Dolphins (19-5) play a non-region game at Fort Dorchester at 7 p.m. Thursday before hosting the Bobcats in the finale of the three-game series at 7 p.m. Friday.
