The USCB baseball team dropped the finale of its season-opening three-game series against visiting Milligan (Tenn.), losing 12-4 on Saturday.
Alex Murphy went 2-for-2 with a two-run homer and three RBIs, and Noah Matthews was 3-for-5 with a double to provide the offensive highlights for the Sand Sharks.
Daniel Wagner took the loss, allowing six runs (two earned) over three innings.
The Sand Sharks (1-2) continue their season-opening home stand with a doubleheader against Paine College at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hardeeville’s Richard Gray Sports Complex.
