USCB Women 2nd, Men 4th In Strong Fields At Innisbrook

The USCB golf teams turned in strong performances at the USCB Innisbrook Invitational, as the women finished second among a strong 15-team field and the men placed fourth in a loaded 18-team field.

The sixth-ranked Sand Shark women shot 324-315-325 for a 54-hole total of 964, finishing second to top-ranked SCAD Savannah (928). No. 12 Keiser (968) was third, followed by No. 20 Faulkner (980) and No.. 8 William Carey (982).

USCB’s Kayla Poff competed as an individual and tied for fourth at 233, while Blanca Porta (236) finished seventh.

Top-ranked Oklahoma City (891) claimed the men’s crown by one shot over No. 2 Dalton State. Fourth-ranked Johnson & Wales (899) was third, followed by No. 9 USCB (903), No. 5 Coastal Georgia (909), and No. 11 Keiser (919).

USCB’s Newport Laparojkit, who won the individual title in the team’s first event of the season, placed second at 2-over-par 215, one shot behind Oklahoma City’s Rupert Kaminski. Cole Nead (223) tied for sixth for the Sand Sharks.
