John Paul II boys’ soccer picked up a region win Wednesday, beating Holy Trinity 6-1.
Elijah Moreno scored four goals and assisted on another to lead the Golden Warriors. Nic Richardson and Hampton Wyman added a goal apiece, Eric Sandoval had two assists, and Gabe Orta-Carrillo and Anthony Cedeno each had one assist.
Alex Grabenbauer scored the lone goal for Holy Trinity.
Jonathan Barragan and Austin McIntosh split time in goal for JPII.
JPII (3-4, 2-1) hosts Cathedral Academy for another region match at 5:45 p.m. next Wednesday. Holy Trinity (1-5, 0-3) hosts Beaufort Academy at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.
