John Paul II’s girls picked up a region win on the road Friday, beating Palmetto Christian Academy 7-2.
Katie Leigh Floyd opened the scoring for the Golden Warriors and finished with a hat trick, and Paige Weniger had three goals and two assists in her first varsity action. Bless Hurtado also scored a goal, and Abby Quinty made three saves to earn the win in goal.
JPII (1-1, 1-0) hosts Holy Trinity on Monday.
