HSVB: HHCA Rallies Past Beaufort High

Hilton Head Christian Academy volleyball continued its hot streak with a 3-1 (19-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-19) win over Beaufort High on Monday.

HHCA’s blocking was the difference in the match, as the front line collected 18 blocks with Dior Shelton (five blocks) and Ady O’Grady (four blocks) leading the way. Sydney DeSimone paced HHCA’s attack with 23 kills along with 24 digs and two blocks, and Lauryn Qualls added 10 kills. Libero Julia Wilder anchored the defense with 26 digs, and Jane Bender (22 assists) and Cortney Gray (18 assists) had solid setting nights.

Chase Vaigneur led Beaufort with 11 kills and McCayla Willingham added eight. Olive Renforth and libero Peyton Polk anchored the defense.

HHCA (9-2-1) travels to St. Vincent’s Academy on Saturday, while Beaufort High (5-5) hosts Wade Hampton on Tuesday.
