Rising Stars Hossler, Redman Join Hall of Famer Singh In RBC Heritage Field

Two up-and-coming golfers and a World Golf Hall of Famer are among the latest additions to the field for the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing.

Hall of Famer Vijay Singh, PGA Tour rookie Beau Hossler, and reigning U.S. Amateur champion Doc Redman have committed to play in the 50th annual tournament next week at Harbour Town Golf Links.

They join a field that already includes defending champion Wesley Bryan and Team RBC Ambassador and world No. 1 Dustin Johnson. Team RBC Ambassadors and past champions Jim Furyk, Matt Kuchar, Graeme McDowell, and Brandt Snedeker are also vying for a chance to win another tartan jacket.

Hossler is having an impressive rookie year on the PGA Tour. The 23-year-old has carded three top-10s, highlighted by a runner-up finish after a playoff with Ian Poulter at the Houston Open. A California native who now calls Texas home, Hossler is making his first appearance at the RBC Heritage.

Redman is also making his first start at Harbour Town.  The Clemson star earned his spot by winning the 2017 U.S. Amateur Championship. He was also a member of last year’s Walker Cup team and has competed in the Heritage Classic Foundation’s Players Amateur tournament held each July.

Singh carded five birdies in the first round of this week’s Masters to finish the day tied for first. He has earned 34 wins on the PGA Tour since turning pro in 1982. Fiji’s only PGA Tour golfer also has two wins on the Champions Tour. He is making his 15th start at Harbour Town.
