Zack Doe rushed for 245 yards and three touchdowns – all of 60 yards or more – as John Paul II routed Carolina Academy 36-14 in a non-region matchup.
Doe had scoring runs of 60, 63 and 69 yards in the first half, and Melik Frost added 99 yards and a touchdown on the ground for the Golden Warriors.
Mark Tigges had a sack for a safety, and Nyleem Wright added a touchdown run for JP2, which snapped a two-game skid.
“Tonight was by far our best team performance,” JP2 coach Kevin Wald said. “They were ready to get back to winning; now we want to finish the season strong.”
The Golden Warriors (4-3) play at Myrtle Beach Christian Academy next week.
