HS Volleyball: HHCA Sweeps Habersham In First Game Back

The Hilton Head Christian Academy volleyball team picked up where it left off before Hurricane Irma, winning at Habersham Academy 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 28-26) on Friday.

Sydney DeSimone registered 15 kills and 18 digs to lead the Eagles, while Olivia Reichenbach added five kills and six blocks, Lauryn Qualls had 11 digs, and Brielle McCarthy collected 23 assists.

The Eagles did lose a key player to injury, though, as Samantha Norton injured her ankle during warm-ups.

HHCA hosts a tri-match with Hilton Head Island High School and Savannah Country Day on Tuesday with matches beginning at 4 p.m.
