South Coastal FCA Adds Former Bobcat Coach Fox To Staff

South Coastal Fellowship of Christian Athletes has added former Bluffton High School boys soccer coach Josh Fox to its local staff on a part-time basis, the organization announced Tuesday.

Fox is in his 10th year as a teacher at Bluffton High School and led the Bobcats’ boys soccer team as head coach for nine years, earning six region championships and the 2017 Class 3A Lower State title before stepping down after last season. Fox was also named Coach of the Year for Bluffton High School in 2016 and 2017.

“My top loves are my family, being a teacher, a coach, and a love for my Christian faith,” Fox said in a release. “I loved my players more than the game itself. FCA has made a difference and impacted me personally and I am honored to take on the role it provides to combine all of those passions to influence and encourage others as it did in my life.”

Fox will continue his role as a full-time teacher at Bluffton High and work for FCA in non-school hours focusing on ministry to athletic teams and coaches primarily in the Bluffton area. The addition brings the South Coastal FCA staff to six local employees. FCA has more than 1,400 staff members worldwide, according to a release.

“We have witnessed how FCA has played a significant role in shaping Josh as a person and a coach, and through him, has had an impact on other coaches and athletes,” FCA area director Paul Cifaldi said. “Josh has a strong desire to share what he has learned with other coaches and teams and show that athletics are so much more than wins and losses. Our ministry has been blessed with much growth within the Beaufort, Jasper, and Hampton county area that we serve. The addition of another staff member was needed, and in Josh, God provided the perfect person for this part-time role.”

FCA is a world-wide faith-based non-profit organization founded in 1954 with the mission to impact and encourage others for Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. For more information about FCA visit http://www.fca.org and http://www.southcoastalfca.org.
