HSFB: Doe Tops 200 Again As JPII Gets 5th Win

John Paul II picked up its fifth win of the season with a 30-12 victory at The King’s Academy on Friday.

Zack Doe rushed for 234 yards and three touchdowns, and Travis Taylor returned an interception 70 yards for a score for the Golden Warriors.

Doe scored on runs of 46 and 20 yards to give JPII a 16-0 halftime lead, and he added a 5-yard TD run after the lead had been cut to 16-6 in the fourth quarter.

The King’s Academy pulled within 24-12 before Taylor’s pick-six sealed the win.

Melik Frost had 10 tackles and two sacks, and Jonathan Field racked up 14 tackles to lead the Golden Warriors’ defense.

JPII (5-4) hosts Colleton Prep in a region matchup next week.
