HS Volleyball: Battery Creek Splits In Savannah

The Battery Creek volleyball team split a pair of matches against Savannah schools on Thursday, falling in three sets to Savannah Country Day before sweeping Richmond Hill.

The Dolphins lost to Savannah Country Day 3-2 (25-15, 15-25, 25-15), as Ta’Quasha Lampkin led Battery Creek with five kills and three blocks and Dazanni Hinton added three kills and five blocks. Mia DeBardelaban had four kills and three aces, and Emily Crosby had three digs.

Battery Creek bounced back to beat Richmond Hill 2-0 (25-17, 25-22) behind a balanced attack. Lampkin had a team-high four kills, and DeBardelaban, Hinton, and Laiani McCullough added three apiece. Mackenzie Young and Michaux Gee each tallied five assists.

The Dolphins play at Whale Branch at 6 p.m. Monday.
